Hi there, my name's Charlotte, I live in the UK, and I am currently a student. However, I am otherwise known in the ArcheAge EU Roleplaying community as Silas Kard. :) Silas is your typical ladies'-man-come-drunkard of a pirate, except he's got the manpower of the fleet he commands to back him up! He's the Captain of The Damned Hangman, and the Leader of The Red Water Raiders.
I was actually originally signed up to this site as 'Everwinter', but that character concept grew cold, and the guild I'd planned to run on her later changed its theme to a Pirate guild, which Silas Kard now leads!
I heard about ArcheAge years ago, when it was first announced for the Korean market and since then I've taken part in the Korean beta, Russian beta and now Trion's alpha/beta - I'm just as sick of waiting for the game as the next guy, but I'm so happy to see how far the game's progressed since its first announcement!
Long before Trion's beta events I'd played and lead successful roleplaying guilds in games such as World of Warcraft, Aion, Perfect World, TERA (even without the ability to walk!) and I've dabbled in LARPing as well. Some of my fondest memories are with the guilds that I'd ran; I love being a part of a close-knit, like-minded community like those were. Though, Roleplay aside, I like to play a lot of Dota2, Hearthstone, Nether and Hawken, though I'm fairly new to the latter. :)
When I'm not playing games, I take art commissions. I'm excessively cheap, or so I'm told, compared to a lot of the game-orientated artists out there, my most expensive piece to date being £30. For those interested, here's a few of the pieces I'm most proud of:
Either way, I'm really looking forward to making not only in-character friendships but hopefully some long-lasting friendships with the players behind their characters. :)
Wonderful introduction, and welcome back! I've heard a small bit about you from Emmazor. It's always a healthy sign for the future of an MMO's RP to see people with leadership experience and desire crop up all across the world.
Which server did you play Korean beta on, and... I don't suppose you were affiliated with Impact, were you? I'm also curious about where you spent your time in Aion, since I was a very avid player of that game and enjoy running in to familiar faces!
In Aion I was all over the place, it was so long ago - I'm talking YEARS - that I don't really remember myself. xD As for the Korean Beta, I followed a friend in so I don't really know where I was there either.. ;^; No, I wasn't with Impact, I was kind of solo aside from that friend of mine there.
