![]() Member 23 Posts | General Information Who are we? The Red Water Raiders is the (plural) name of the pirates within our crew, belonging to one of currently two ships within the fleet. We are a Chaotic-Neutral Roleplaying Guild, meaning that we follow our instinct rather than laws or orders, other than those of the Captain, it also means that we aren't always the most reliable of individuals. As a Guild we promote the idea of freedom, offering it to those who would join us, with only the limitation of loyalty to the Guild itself. What would happen if your guild was an ally of mine? We would only ever align with another guild or faction if their goals ran side-by-side with something which we wanted to gain. That's not to say that an unlikely relationship might not form between guilds, of course, but it's more likely that we will try to do all that we can on our own before seeking help elsewhere. Where will the guild be based? We are a western faction, meaning we will be docking in the west and north, and very rarely the east. What races and classes do you currently accept? We accept all races and class combinations, though until we become a faction it is only Nuian and Elves who can join us. The Mindset In-Character versus Out-Of-Character Members of the Faction are encouraged to keep their in-character and out-of-character relationships separate. Whether you argue within the guild or not, don't have your character turn on your out-of-character rival for no apparent reason. The same goes for the opposite way around - you shouldn't despise someone for the way that their characters behave, when they may actually be quite different out-of-character. Consequences The actions which you commit in-character have in-character consequences. Be it good or bad, you will receive the bounty of your actions in-character rather than out-of-character. If your character betrays Faction Ethos, there won't necessarily be out-of-character punishment aside a mild warning that you may not be fit for the guild, and possibly a demotion depending on the severity of the act. Limitations Not everyone is willing to go along with your characters' plans, plots and schemes. Everyone has their own limitations both in and out of character, therefore you should respect those players by first asking whether they would mind or not. This, of course, goes for both the enemy and your allies. Warm Welcome Whilst 'veteran' members may be comfortable in their shiny suits and flashy robes, there will always be someone new around the corner. Whether or not your character has progressed through the ranks, you will be expected at least out-of-character (as your character might not be the friendliest) to show new members a warm welcome. Representation As we want to receive and maintain a good guild image, we expect our members to be respectful of other roleplayers and other players in general - whilst that guild flag is above your head, you are marked with our name and even if they don't remember your own character name, they'll sure as hell remember our guild's. The same goes for in-character-out-of-character crossover, for example god-emoting. It is frowned upon by the guild itself and therefore you are advised to avoid doing such. Ranking: All of our ships follow the same uniform ranking: Captain The leader of the main ship, usually the one to pilot the ship and control all operations on board. Considered to be the leader of all of the fleet. First-Mate The pilot and therefor Captain of the main ship's counterparts. Whilst the rank's official name is First-Mate, this is in fleet terms. On each ship, they will be referred to as Captain. Gunner Cannoneers and harpoon masters. These members are in charge of the main defense of the ships. Each ship will choose a Master Gunner from this rank. Sailor The main rank of the faction - anything from traders and cabin boys to your most brutal pirate. Each ship will choose a Navigator from his rank. Caretaker The backbone of the fleet - Surgeons and Chefs, Sail Makers and Craftsmen. Additional Information: Official Website: http://redwaterraiders-eu.enjin.com/home Contact: As I am the primary contact of this guild I will be actively reading and waiting for questions, comments and critiques. Events We will be hosting two weekly and one monthly event from launch, and a series of campaigns after the first few weeks of launch. We are mainly a Roleplaying community, however, we have already started to expand our horizons to PvE and soon, when we get the chance, PvP. |
