ArcheAge Roleplay

Hello, I'm generally known as Joraiem in the mmo community. I played Lord of the Rings Online for about seven years until the Helm's Deep expansion (blech). After that I started looking for a new game and eventually settled on ArcheAge. I've never done any 'official' roleplaying, but a friend and I did RP together a good bit, and I'm also a amateur novelist with a thing for storytelling and high fantasy.
Anyway, I'm gonna try doing some roleplaying on ArcheAge and look forward to seeing you in the game!

Hello and welcome!

I do love me some novelists. They have the most intriguing stories to post on forums like this. Actually, once you're acquainted with the lore, if you're feeling like writing a sort of short story or novella about your character or really anything lore-wise as far as ArcheAge is concerned, you should check out the Stories (IC) subforum. I hope that place will be jumping as soon as we all kinda wrap our heads around the story of ArcheAge.

Roleplaying isn't much different than writing a novel. The difference is, the unpredictable element of other writers. That always tends to make for a good time. Personally, I enjoy having my expectations for a certain scenario totally blown away by someone else shifting the focus.
